QICCB in brief

QICCB is our internal competence and certification board for industrial insulation and related trades. It turns real project experience into structured paths, checks and internal credentials for the people who work under the PDGroup umbrella.

What QICCB is – and is not

• It is a board and a framework that defines what “good” looks like for helpers, journeymen, foremen, supervisors and QA/QC staff.

• It is a set of competence matrices, training paths and assessment rules that our crews are measured against.

• It is built around real specifications and technological requirements, not just opinions or shortcuts.

• It is not a public school or a logo we put on CVs without a system behind it.

What QICCB covers today

• Role definitions and competence levels for insulation-related positions, from helper to supervisor and QA/QC

• Structured paths from helper to journeyman, foreman and supervisor, tied to real work on site

• Criteria for who can lead scopes, sign off work and mentor others

• Internal certifications linked to performance on projects, not just classroom time

• Competence and training content mapped against relevant ISO/EN requirements and typical project specifications used by industrial clients and EPCs – so people learn to work to documented standards, not to “how someone likes to do it”

How QICCB works inside the group

• PDGroup holds employment and contracts; QICCB defines the competence bar for different roles.

• QuadraTech feeds back field experience – methods that actually work on site and mistakes we don’t want to repeat.

• Training and assessments, whether in partner training centers or on live projects, are aligned with QICCB criteria.

• Only people who pass QICCB-defined checks are cleared for certain roles and responsibilities on site.

Scaling up for larger projects

For larger scopes we often need to add people beyond our core crews. When that happens, they don’t just appear from the street. New candidates are screened, trained and assessed against QICCB criteria before they are cleared for specific roles – or kept on simpler tasks until they prove they can meet our standards. Additional heads are brought in under the same QICCB-driven checks, instead of being pushed straight to site as anonymous manpower.

Looking ahead

Today QICCB is focused on our own people and close partners. Over time, parts of this framework can be opened to selected external training centers and clients – for example through licensed curricula, “train the trainer” modules or shared competence standards on joint projects.
